Participate in a 45-minute fitness training class online to improve fitness levels and feel great!
With an increase in neck and back pain as well as weight gain due to a more sedentary lifestyle, glo's online fitness classes use Body Weight and HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workouts to get fit, build body strength, and help lose weight.
The principle of HIIT workouts are to increase the heart rate, then rest for a short amount of time, and then go again. Training intervals in this format helps to burn more calories, build core strength (to improve posture), and generally improve fitness levels and body strength.
Participants start the class with mobility training to warm up and are eased into exercise by freeing up muscles and joints which enables a better range of movement. This benefits posture, increases flexibility and reduces risk of injury.
The mid-section of each session provides 15-20 minutes of 2-3 mini circuits that incorporate strengthening exercises, and aims to increase the heart rate. Every area of the body is targeted (Upper body/Core/Legs). The session ends with a 10-minute cool down to gradually bring the heart rate down to its normal resting rate.
This service is suitable for all fitness levels and age ranges. A Glo Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire must be completed online one week prior to the fitness class so that your instructor can review and tailor to any special needs.
