You may find your skin changes in the summertime; we can experience greasier skin due to the heat and humidity in the air, but it can also become easily dehydrated and dry due to sun exposure too.

If you want to correct greasy conditions, we would suggest using a glycolic acid toner after cleansing to balance the skins PH, deep clean the pores and slough off the dead skin cells too – don’t be alarmed if it does tingle the skin slightly, this is completely normal to feel with glycolic acid.

If you are experiencing dehydrated and dry skin we would recommend hyaluronic acid as a staple in your skincare routine, it holds up to 1000 time its own weight in water and using it along with a good level SPF will ensure you are keeping and locking in the hydration that your skin needs in the summer months.

However much of an advocate we are for retinols, please be careful when using them in the summer! You should always use an SPF if you are using retinol on your skin, but you may notice more irritation in the summer, so either use it less frequently or double up on your SPF to really protect the skin.
